Story@BFBV: The Confirmation Bias Story

You are contemplating buying  a stock and come across two pieces of news -one of which is positive while the other is negative. Are you like High Molson, who would ignore disconfirming evidence? and would overweigh confirming evidence? The world is complex enough to provide you with data that would support your prior notions. Resist the temptation to seek confirming and ignore disconfirming evidence. Or you won’t survive for long in the markets.

Successful investors recognize their mistakes and correct them. If you only look for confirming evidence, how would you realize that you were wrong?

Don’t fall for the confirmation trap.
